This past offseason, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo signed a three-year, $72.75 million deal with the Las Vegas Raiders. Josh McDaniels brought in Garoppolo to take Derek Carr's place after he had a reasonably successful stint with the San Francisco 49ers.
He led the Raiders to a big win in Week 1 against the Denver Broncos but has lost two straight games since then. Moreover, after the loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 3, Garoppolo was tested for concussions.
Is the Raiders quarterback healthy? Will he play in Week 4 against the Los Angeles Chargers? Let's take a look.

Jimmy Garoppolo Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Jimmy Garoppolo was placed in the concussion protocol on Monday. With how things currently stand, it seems like the 31-year-old quarterback could potentially miss the game against the Chargers in Week 4.
This will be a huge blow for the Raiders, whose playoff hopes could diminish if they lose a third straight game. Moreover, despite the turnovers, Garoppolo had a decent start to his career with the Raiders. In his absence, the franchise will either start rookie Aidan O'Connell or Brian Hoyer.
So far this season in three games, Garoppolo has thrown for 709 yards, five touchdowns, and six interceptions, with a passer rating of 81.4. In Week 3, the Steelers' defense made life hell for the Raiders quarterback, and since the Raiders' running game hasn't worked well so far, there was more pressure on the quarterback to make big plays. Hence, there is an increase in turnover.
Jimmy Garoppolo Fantasy Football Outlook
Jimmy Garoppolo is ranked 16th among quarterbacks in total points accumulated after three weeks in PPR leagues. After scoring 20.7 points in Week 3, he now has a total of 46.3. This number could have been higher if there had been fewer turnovers and the Raiders' running game had been more effective.
Garoppolo is looking comfortable playing under head coach Josh McDaniels and has developed good chemistry with Jakobi Meyers and Davante Adams. However, two straight losses have brought uncertainty around the franchise.
If Garoppolo is unable to play against the Chargers in Week 3, which is highly likely, the Raiders will probably lose that game. After that, their star player Davante Adams may demand a trade. He has made it clear that he wants to be in a winning position, and his departure would have a negative impact on Jimmy Garoppolo on the field as well as in fantasy football.
