Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy was considered a prime breakout candidate this season. With Denver acquiring former Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, the Broncos' offense was expected to be conducive to strong seasons from its wideouts.
A long touchdown in Week 1 helped Jeudy to a great fantasy performance. However, his outing last week was cut short in the first quarter. The young weapon suffered an injury after being hit while trying to catch a contested target.
Jeudy was a large part of his fantasy managers' plans this season. Should those managers be worried that Jeudy won't be able to suit up this weekend, or is the situation no cause for concern?

Jerry Jeudy Injury News
Jeudy caught one pass for 11 yards on three targets on Sunday before exiting the game with an injury. The injury was initially reported as an issue with his shoulder.
Injury update: WR Jerry Jeudy (shoulder) is QUESTIONABLE to return.

While Jeudy was listed as questionable to return to the contest versus Houston, he ended up being unable to. Over an hour after the injury, he was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Injury update: CB Pat Surtain II (shoulder) and WR Jerry Jeudy (shoulder) have both been downgraded to OUT.

Fantasy managers invested decent draft picks into Jeudy and would certainly like to see him play against San Francisco this week. Will he be able to, or will the Broncos be without their starting receiver?
Is Jerry Jeudy Injured or Playing in Week 3?
The first important update about Jeudy's condition is that his injury was not to his shoulder as was originally reported. Rather, he suffered a chest/rib injury on the play. On Monday he was listed as day-to-day, which is widely considered positive news.
#Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy is also considered day-to-day after dealing with a chest/sternum injury. So, all around, pretty good news for Denver. https://t.co/EiLAICy1mi

The team seems optimistic that Jeudy will be able to suit up for their matchup with the 49ers. Head coach Nathaniel Hackett said the squad is "crossing [their] fingers" that Jeudy will be at their disposal.
"We’re hoping, and we’re crossing our fingers" for Jerry Jeudy and Pat Surtain to be available this week, #Broncos coach Nathaniel Hackett said Monday. https://t.co/WWugcJiqwk

It appears more likely than not that Jeudy will play on Sunday. The situation can change between now and then, though, so it's important to remain updated on his status. If he is inactive, his targets would be dispersed among Courtland Sutton, K.J. Hamler, and Albert Okwuegbunam.
The 49ers have yielded the fourth-fewest half-PPR fantasy points to receivers this season, making the matchup a difficult one for Denver's receivers. It is important to note that one of San Francisco's games was against the run-heavy Chicago Bears in a rainstorm, though, so these figures may overstate the 49ers' defensive capabilities.
Fantasy managers should not be too concerned about Jeudy, though it's always important to be prepared. If you want to acquire an insurance policy off of your league's waiver wire, check out RotoBaller's Week 3 Waiver Wire Rankings.
