The third-year wide receiver, Jaylen Waddle, is looking to continue his dominating performance again this season. The former first-round, sixth overall pick in 2021 has done nothing but exceed his expectations in Mike McDaniel's offense.
In Waddle's first season, he recorded 104 receptions for 1,015 receiving yards with six touchdowns. He averaged 12.11 half-point PPR fantasy points per game that season. He took another big jump in his second season. While his receptions dipped down to 75 in 2022, he averaged 18.1 yards per reception for a total of 1,356 yards. Waddle became a fantasy threat, averaging 13.1 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.
He continues to show that he is a solid WR2 across all league formats, and if it wasn't for his teammate, Tyreek Hill, he would be WR1 in this Miami Dolphins offense. The productivity that comes with the offense is one to be fully invested in this season.

What Did Jaylen Waddle Accomplish In Week 2?
Jaylen Waddle started where he left off after the Week 1 performance. Waddle had four receptions for 78 yards on five targets versus the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1. The Dolphins' offense showed that they could be the most dangerous offense in the NFL this season.
Week 2 was no different. Waddle put together four receptions for 86 yards on six targets. He hasn't found the endzone yet, but Waddle still managed to put up 12.4 fantasy points. That performance wasn't through all four quarters either as Waddle exited the game under the concussion protocol.

Is Jaylen Waddle Playing In Week 3?
Jaylen Waddle exited the Week 2 matchup versus New England after taking a hard hit. With the league's protocol set in place, Waddle will have to pass multiple tests before Sunday's matchup versus the Denver Broncos. While the reports have come out that he is progressing well, the Dolphins do not seem to be in a rush to get him back on the field.

With Mike McDaniel stating, "I'm not worried about the timeline. I'm just worried about him getting right," fantasy owners should expect Jaylen Waddle to miss Week 3 and prepare for the worst as the Dolphins are taking the safe approach with him.
