Jaylen Waddle Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle has been injured off and on all season long, but has missed just one game for the Dolphins. His most recent injury came in Week 9 against the Kansas City Chiefs, with Waddle picking up a knee injury in that contest.
Waddle still played 54% of Miami's snaps in that one. He was targeted six times, catching three passes for 42 yards. It was the second-fewest yards that Waddle has had in a game this season.
With a bye last week, Jaylen Waddle has had time to get healthy. He appears to be on track to play in Week 11 when the Dolphins take on the Raiders barring a setback during the week.
Jaylen Waddle Fantasy Football Outlook
Tyreek Hill has been arguably the NFL's best receiver this season. That's been great for Hill, but it hasn't been quite as good for Jaylen Waddle, who is averaged 65.3 receiving yards per game. That's a good number, but it's a fairly large drop from the 79.8 yards per game he averaged last season.
Overall, Waddle has caught 40 passes for 522 yards and three touchdowns while playing in eight games for Miami. He's been one of the league's best No. 2 receivers.
If Waddle is fully healthy heading into Week 11, his ceiling rises a decent bit. Fantasy managers should view him as a high-end WR2 option with upside heading into this matchup against a Raiders defense that has struggled at times this season. Waddle could be in for one of his best games of the 2023 NFL season.
