Jayden Reed had a solid rookie season, leading the Green Bay Packers in receiving yards (793) and touchdowns (8). In addition to those numbers, the former Michigan State standout had two additional touchdowns off 119 yards. As the Packers' young but talented nucleus continues to gain experience, the team will expect more from him in his second year.
With the Packers poised to compete against the best teams in their conference, Reed's performance will help them surpass the Divisional Round, wherein their season ended last year.
However, an injury might derail his promising 2024 season. How long will Reed be out of action? Will he recover for the Packers' season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles in Sao Paulo, Brazil?

Jayden Reed Injury Update
Multiple news outlets reported that Reed missed their August 7 practice due to a calf injury. This condition is different from the toe injury he suffered earlier in training camp. However, while the severity of Reed's calf injury remains unknown, it seems his condition isn't severe.
That's good news for a team looking to take the next step in 2024. With Jordan Love secured for five seasons (including this year), he will need talented teammates like Jayden Reed to bolster their campaign.
Reed's injury won't force him to miss extensive time. He could even participate in any of the Packers' preseason games. However, the injuries he incurred this offseason will force Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur to pace his return. But in this video, Reed was already participating in practices.

Meanwhile, from a fantasy football perspective, RotoBaller projects that Reed will finish the 2024 season with 930 receiving yards and six touchdowns. Those numbers make him the 38th-best wideout in RotoBaller's rankings.
Likewise, his ADP of 78 means he's valuable in the middle rounds, making him a suitable WR2 or high-end WR3. However, it's challenging for Reed to exceed the projected numbers because the Packers have other wideouts like Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson, and Dontayvion Wicks.
