Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams has had his suspension reduced from six games to four and will be eligible to play in Week 5 against the Carolina Panthers.
The former first-round pick was able to find the end zone on his first NFL reception but could not produce outside of that play.
Is this a sign of things to come for Williams? Should you pick him up in fantasy leagues after his showing last season?

What Did Jameson Williams Do Last Season?
Jameson Williams is a second-year receiver out of Alabama. The Lions receiver spent most of last year rehabbing the ACL tear he sustained in the National Championship, but he made an impact in his second NFL game.
In Week 14 of the 2022 season, Williams reeled in a 41-yard touchdown reception against the Minnesota Vikings at Ford Field.
Following his big catch, Williams played four more games in 2022. The former Alabama standout could not produce outside of his big touchdown, and consistency was an issue for Williams.
Were There Any Worrying Signs With Jameson Williams Last Season?
Despite being targeted eight more times outside of his touchdown play, Williams and Goff could not connect for more receptions or yards.
Williams earning those extra targets from Goff is a testament to the receiver's ability to get open, and those misses will soon turn into receptions for the pair once they get on the same page. Chemistry and timing are built with reps, and now that the former first-round pick is back at practice, the two players can find common ground.
Williams was a super efficient receiver in college and got the most out of every reception he had. Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson should be able to scheme up plays to get Williams open in space with the opportunity to gain yards after the catch. The Lions have been searching for a consistent field stretcher in this offense, and Williams has the chance to solidify himself as a top target in the Lions passing attack.
Should I Pickup Jameson Williams Off the Waiver Wire in Fantasy Football?
The former Alabama wide receiver must be rostered in all formats and leagues, but fantasy managers must temper expectations for Williams' first few games back.
Lions head coach Dan Campbell stated that he is looking for reliability, which Williams has yet to provide early in his career. With reports of immaturity and the suspension for gambling, Williams must be extra dedicated to his team to get back into his coach's good graces.
The wide range of outcomes surrounding Williams makes him a tough player to start in Week 5, but he is the kind of player you want on your bench in case he solidifies himself as a top target in the offense within the coming weeks.
