Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts (concussion) has been sidelined since suffering a concussion during their Week 16 loss to the Washington Commanders.
The starting quarterback was unable to practice leading up to Week 17 and could be in danger of missing his second-straight contest.
So will Hurts play again in 2024 or is he out for the year?

Is Jalen Hurts Out For The Season?
With the Eagles locked into the No.2 seed in the NFC, fantasy managers should expect Hurts to sit out in Week 18 out of precaution as the game has no meaning regarding their playoff position. In fact, many Philadelphia starters will likely either sit out or put on a strict snap limit to ensure the team is healthy for the postseason.
As a result, fantasy managers and DFS players should not expect Hurts to return in Week 18 but should plan on him being a full-go for the wild card round. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status at practice this week. If he remains a non-participant, then he could then be in danger of missing time in the playoffs.
This past weekend, Kenny Pickett got the starting nod but left early due to a rib injury which paved the way for Tanner McKee to close out the game. DFS players should keep an eye on Pickett's status throughout the week as McKee may be given the start in Week 18 against the New York Giants. McKee would be viewed as a risky play given his lack of NFL experience.
During Weeks 6 through 15 (ten games), Hurts tallied an impressive 26 total touchdowns (14 passing, 12 rushing) while averaging just under 250.0 all-purpose yards per game.

If Hurts can pass through the concussion protocol, he should be viewed as a high-end QB1 in all playoff competitions given his elite scoring ability.
