The Philadelphia Eagles have arguably been the best team in the NFL in 2022. Their quarterback, Jalen Hurts, is currently the clear-cut favorite for league MVP.
However, as we head into Week 16 of the season, there is a speed bump in Philadelphia. The star QB is dealing with a sprained right throwing shoulder and questions about his availability are being asked by his fantasy managers as the team gets ready to head into the holiday weekend.
Is Hurts or Gardner Minshew the Eagles' starting quarterback on Christmas Eve when they take on their arch-rivals, the Dallas Cowboys? Let's examine this further.

Is Jalen Hurts Or Gardner Minshew Starting In Week 16 Fantasy Football?
Hurts has been an absolute fantasy monster for his managers this season, trailing only Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes in overall points at the position. He has carried his team to a league-best 13-1 record and they are the current favorite to win the Super Bowl.
The Eagles' signal-caller has already thrown for 3,472 passing yards and 22 touchdowns while also rushing for 747 yards and 13 touchdowns. Simply put, these jaw-dropping numbers have fantasy fans begging for more.
Hurts is the franchise quarterback and the future of their organization. There is very little chance the team will risk putting the superstar in a vulnerable position if unnecessary. Even if it means a lesser chance of victory over the hated Cowboys.
Should I Stream A QB For Week 16, Or Take My Chances With Gardner Minshew?
On Thursday afternoon, Hurts was ruled out by head coach Nick Sirianni, naming Minshew the starter in Week 16. So is it time for Minshew Mania part two? The man who captivated the NFL as a starter with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2019-2020, sometimes dazzling football fans with his enthusiasm, mustache, and unique approach, is in a position to lead the Eagles to a victory over the Cowboys.
If Minshew Mania shows up on Saturday, the team will clinch the top seed in the NFC and a first-round bye. Take heed though fantasy fans, there is also a real chance there is no mustache magic this Christmas Eve, as Philadelphia faces one of the toughest defenses in the NFL.
My advice? Find a better solution on the waiver wire, one that is safe, and one that has a more likely shot at taking you to the fantasy title game. Because isn't that what this is all about?
