Jalen Hurts Injury Update for Fantasy Football
As per Ian Rapoport, Jalen Hurts' injury is not considered serious, and he is expected to play in Week 8. The Eagles will face the Washington Commanders, and games against them are usually close for the reigning NFC Champions.
The Eagles have a bye in Week 10, but before that, they will go against the Commanders and the Dallas Cowboys. It will be interesting to see if Hurts is able to avoid aggravating his injury before getting a timely rest.
In the 31-17 win over the Dolphins, the Eagles quarterback threw for 279 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception with a passer rating of 109.5. He also rushed for 21 yards and a touchdown, rounding off what was a pretty good game after a poor performance against the Jets.
Jalen Hurts Fantasy Football Outlook
In seven games this season, Hurts has thrown for 1,821 yards, nine touchdowns, and eight interceptions, for a passer rating of 87.8. He has a completion percentage of 67.2, but an increase in turnovers has been a worrying sign.
Many believe his performances have taken a significant dip from last season, but he is still getting the job done. He has rushed for 274 yards on 74 carries and has scored six rushing touchdowns while averaging 3.4 yards per carry. Moreover, the Alabama product has done a great job in feeding A.J. Brown, who has been phenomenal this season.
The RotoBaller staff has him currently ranked #2 among the quarterbacks heading into Week 8. Hurts is likely to have another big game against the Commanders next week as they are a pretty inconsistent team this season.
