What fantasy managers will remember most about Baltimore Orioles infielder Jackson Holliday is how he looked in the majors in 2024. Holliday was just 2-for-34 at the plate with one RBI, two walks, and 18 strikeouts.
However, it was obvious that MLB Pipeline's No. 1 overall prospect was not ready for the big leagues yet. Since his demotion, though, Holliday has spent a portion of the season on the injured list after being diagnosed with right elbow inflammation.
So, is Holliday injured or healthy? When will he return? Let's dive in and find out.

Jackson Holliday Injury Update
On June 14, Holliday was placed on the injured list due to right elbow inflammation. He experienced some pain in his throwing arm shortly after June 12, so Triple-A Norfolk decided to place him on the seven-day injured list. The Orioles' top prospect wasn't expected to be out for very long, though.
That happened to be the case, as Holliday was reinstated from the injured list on Tuesday, June 25. Despite being activated, the second baseman is not going to play the field immediately. He is expected to solely be a designated hitter for the next few weeks as he rehabs his elbow injury.
Jackson Holliday will be reinstated from the Triple-A Norfolk Injured List today. He will exclusively DH for several weeks as part of his rehab progression.

Holliday was back in the lineup for Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday. He drew a walk in his first plate appearance and doubled in his second at-bat. The infielder is hitting .274 with seven home runs, 16 doubles, and 28 RBI in 50 games at the minor league level this season.
Jackson Holliday Fantasy Baseball Outlook
Holliday obviously struggled mightily in his first go around in the majors. He looked lost at the plate and didn't really fit in the big leagues yet. However, he is a player who fantasy managers should be stashing in most fantasy leagues.

He should be back up with the Orioles later this year, where he should be better than he was in April. He continues to work on things in Triple-A, and Baltimore won't call him back up if they don't feel like he is ready. The upside and potential are both there for Holliday to succeed later this season, so stashing him in fantasy might be the best option right now.
