The New York Giants have been ravaged by injuries at the wide receiver position. Both Sterling Shepard and Wan'Dale Robinson are out for the season.
Due to the amount of loss in their receiving corps, the Giants have been desperate to find pass catchers. Former Buffalo Bills receiver Isaiah Hodgins has played a notable role for New York since joining the team at the mid-point of the season. Most recently, he posted 44 yards and a touchdown against the Washington Commanders in Week 13.
Is this a sign of things to come for Hodgins? Should you pick him up in fantasy leagues after his Week 13 showing?

What Has Isaiah Hodgins Done This Season?
Isaiah Hodgins was a sixth-round draft pick of the Buffalo Bills in 2020. Former Bills offensive coordinator and current Giants head coach Brian Daboll is familiar with Hodgins from his time in Buffalo. With New York's receiving corps severely depleted by season-ending injuries to both Sterling Shepard and Wan'Dale Robinson, the G-Men claimed the unheralded Hodgins off waivers from the Bills on November 2nd.
Hodgins immediately found playing time upon his arrival in New York. That role has continued to grow as the season progresses. He ran routes on 88% of Daniel Jones' dropbacks last week against the Washington Commanders and garnered a rock-solid 21% team target share. Hodgins converted that volume into five catches for 44 yards and a score in Week 13.
Should I Pick Up Isaiah Hodgins Off the Waiver Wire in Week 14?
Hodgins is not only a great story, but he's proving himself to be a quality NFL receiver. He's now totaled 186 receiving yards and a TD on 17 receptions in 2022.
He has now averaged a 75% snap rate across New York's last two weeks, as his role in this passing attack continues to solidify.
His fantasy upside is likely capped to an extent, as the Giants rank 28th in the NFL in pass play percentage. However, Hodgins has now received 10 targets across New York's last two games. With that rising volume, he can be considered as a flyer in deeper leagues for fantasy GMs that might be managing multiple byes in Week 14. Hodgins profiles as a low-ceiling FLEX option for those in desperate need this week.
