Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Hunter Renfrow had an outstanding season in 2021. Renfrow broke out with 103 receptions for 1,038 yards and nine touchdowns. He finished the year as the WR10 in PPR formats.
So far in this season, though, Renfrow has been less impressive. He has made just 14 catches for 105 yards and zero scores on 20 targets. He has also missed two games due to a concussion he sustained in Week 2.
Renfrow is now dealing with a hip injury. Will he be active in the Raiders' game against the Texans, or will fantasy managers have to look to other options for their lineups this week?

Hunter Renfrow Injury News
Renfrow played Las Vegas's Week 5 game against Kansas City, catching all four of his targets for 25 yards. He entered the team's bye week last week healthy. However, things suddenly changed when Renfrow was added to the injury report on Thursday.
Raiders WR Hunter Renfrow did not practice today and was added to the injury report due to a hip issue.
TE Darren Waller missed his second straight practice coming out of the bye week.

Renfrow on Friday was listed as questionable to participate in this week's game versus Houston with a hip injury.

With such a designation, Renfrow entered the weekend with his availability truly up in the air. Will he be able to suit up this week or not?
Is Hunter Renfrow Injured or Playing in Week 7?
Early Sunday morning, Ian Rapoport reported that there is "optimism" surrounding Renfrow's status for Week 7.
There is optimism that WR Mack Hollins (heel) and WR Hunter Renfrow (hip) play today, but both will work out pre-game to be sure, source said. They are listed as questionable.

Adam Schefter went a step further two hours later, claiming that Renfrow is expected to play against Houston. This is certainly a more direct report than expressing optimism.
Raiders’ WR Hunter Renfrow, listed as questionable for Sunday due to a hip injury, is expected to play vs. the Texans, per source.

While we wait for an official confirmation that Renfrow will be active, it is worth analyzing his matchup. The Texans have surprisingly held opposing receivers to the ninth-fewest fantasy points per game this season. Indeed, only six teams have yielded fewer receptions per game to wideouts in 2022, and the Texans have given up just one touchdown catch by a WR all year.
Darren Waller's absence at tight end should open up more targets for wide receivers in this Raiders offense, but Renfrow has not been particularly productive this year. He also had season-lows in snap share, routes run, and targets in Week 5 despite Waller missing nearly the entirety of the game.
Fantasy managers who are counting on Renfrow will likely have him at their disposal this week. However, there may be better options for your starting lineup, considering both Renfrow's matchup and his recent struggles.
