Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Hunter Renfrow had a breakout season in 2021, catching 103 passes for 1,038 yards and nine touchdowns. With star wideout Davante Adams joining the team, his production was expected to take a slight hit, but he remained an intriguing option for fantasy managers.
Renfrow has gotten off to a slow start in 2022. In the opener, he made just three catches for 21 yards. Last week, he grabbed seven passes for 59 yards but fumbled twice. The second fumble was returned by Arizona for a game-winning touchdown in overtime.
On that deciding play, Renfrow took a nasty hit and entered the concussion protocol afterward. What does his status look like entering the team's Week 3 matchup with Tennessee?

Hunter Renfrow Injury News
Soon after the conclusion of the Raiders' game with the Cardinals, it was reported that Renfrow was being evaluated for a concussion.

Because the injury occurred on the last play of the game, we never got an update during the game on what the results of the evaluation were. However, with the severity of concussions being increasingly understood, the team likely would have taken a cautious approach with their receiver.
Football fans of all allegiances would like to see Renfrow be fine, but fantasy managers have an added incentive to hope Renfrow recovers quickly. Should these managers expect Renfrow to be available in Week 3, or should they explore other options?
Is Hunter Renfrow Injured or Playing in Week 3?
On Monday, fans were unfortunately left in the dark about Renfrow's status. Head coach Josh McDaniels offered no further information about Renfrow's progression.

On Wednesday, McDaniels said that Renfrow was making progress towards returning to the field. He expressed optimism that Renfrow would recover quickly.
Raiders coach Josh McDaniels said S Tre'von Moehrig, LB Denzel Perryman, C Andre James (concussion) and WR Hunter Renfrow (concussion) "are getting better" and "progressing. Hopefully we're going to turn a corner."
Injury updates to come.

Wednesday's update appears promising. Still, the likelihood that he's available on Sunday remains very much unclear. If he is unable to play, Davante Adams, Mack Hollins, Darren Waller, and Tyron Johnson would see increased opportunities.
The Titans have been unsuccessful at defending receivers through two weeks. They have allowed the second-most half-PPR points to wide receivers so far this season. Should Renfrow play, he would have a favorable matchup for sure.
Fantasy managers should share McDaniels's optimism and prepare for Renfrow to be available. With that said, it's never a bad idea to have a backup plan. Check out RotoBaller's Week 3 Waiver Wire Rankings for some options to consider in case Renfrow is forced to sit out.
