Cincinnati Bengals tight end Hayden Hurst signed a 1-year deal in the 2022 offseason and ended up putting together the second-best season of his career from a yards standpoint.
Hurst had 54 receptions for 439 yards and two touchdowns in the regular season and added 13 receptions for 141 yards and a touchdown in the postseason.
The former first-round pick is a free agent once again in 2023. Where will the 29-year-old veteran land?

Is Hayden Hurst A Free Agent in 2023?
Entering free agency for the second-straight season, Hayden Hurst joins Jessie Bates, Vonn Bell, Eli Apple, Germaine Pratt, Samaje Perine, Drew Sample, and Tre Flowers as significant free agents for Cincinnati.
While it would be great for the Bengals to retain all of these players, they have to keep in mind that star quarterback Joe Burrow is on his rookie deal and will need an extension soon.
If Hurst were to return to Cincinnati, it would likely be on another smaller deal to compensate for Burrow and some of the other internal free agents.
Which Team Will Sign Hayden Hurst In The Offseason?
Hurst enjoyed his season in Cincinnati, and Bengals fans returned the favor.
With Drew Sample also an upcoming free agent, the only other tight ends on Cincinnati’s roster are Mitchell Wilcox and Devin Asiasi. Tight end is a need this offseason in Cincinnati, and they would certainly love to bring Hurst back.
If the Bengals can’t get a deal done for the veteran, other teams will look for his services.
Green Bay could be a destination for the veteran.
Current tight end Robert Tonyan is also a free agent this cycle, and the Packers could look to pay Hurst a larger contract than Cincinnati can lock down.
Hurst’s landing spot will dictate his 2023 fantasy value, but if he returns to the Bengals another TE2 season can be expected.
