Is Harrison Butker Out For The Season?
Any time you hear that a player had surgery on their knee, you'd be forgiven for thinking about the worst-case scenario, which would be that the player would be out for the year.
But unless something changes, it doesn't sound like that will be the case for Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker, as there hasn't been much talk about this injury costing him the rest of the season.
Sources: #Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker is expected to miss 3-4 weeks and is likely headed to injured reserve with a left knee injury.

Butker will miss the next two games for Kansas City since he is on the Injured Reserve, but he should be in line to return on Dec. 15 against the Cleveland Browns barring a setback in his recovery. Things could always change, but that should be the expectation.
Butker is converting 90% of his field goal attempts this season and 95.5% of his extra point attempts.
Kansas City Chiefs Kicker Fantasy Football Outlook
With Butker sidelined, the Chiefs brought Spencer Shrader in to kick for the team, signing him off the Jets practice squad. He is 3-for-3 on field goal attempts and 6-for-6 on extra points since he joined Kansas City.
He don't know if Shrader will be as automatic on deep field goal attempts as Butker was so his fantasy ceiling is lower, but he's a streaming option for fantasy managers who are without Butker at the moment.

That's assuming that Shrader is able to play this week though, as he is dealing with a hamstring injury. The Chiefs signed Matthew Wright to the practice squad.
Assuming Butker returns at the earliest possible date, the veteran kicker should return to being a top-five kicker in fantasy football leagues.
