Baltimore Ravens running back Gus Edwards had loosely been on the fantasy football radar over the past few seasons and since the team didn't add much at the position this offseason, he'll continue to have value.
However, Edwards has struggled mightily with injuries in each of the last two years, so monitoring his status will be key. We have his latest injury update.
Is Edwards healthy or injured and what is his 2023 fantasy football outlook? Let's get into it.

Gus Edwards Injury Update For Fantasy Football
Edwards missed the entire 2021 season with a torn ACL and played in just nine contests in 2022 due to knee complications, hamstring issues, and a concussion. He's been working on the side at Ravens' OTAs, but he's expected to be available when training camp rolls around in mid-July.
This is good news for his availability early in the 2023 season, so he'll be on the fantasy radar in deep leagues.
Gus Edwards 2023 Fantasy Football Outlook
Edwards has averaged no fewer than 5.0 yards per carry in his four seasons in the NFL and should continue to see somewhat of a role in the Baltimore backfield if he can stay on the field. Last year, he rushed 87 times for 433 yards (5.0 YPC) and three touchdowns.
Both he and J.K. Dobbins carry plenty of injury risk into next season. Dobbins is expected to be the clear RB1 for Baltimore, but if he has to miss any time, Edwards will have at least flex value in what should be a great offense led by Lamar Jackson and new offensive coordinator Todd Monken.
At the very least, Edwards is a bench stash as a handcuff RB, but he could have best ball value if he earns more goal-line carries than expected. At his RB59 price tag, having exposure to him isn't a bad idea.
