San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle has played an integral part in the team's two playoff wins this year, both in the running and passing game. Before executing pancake blocks in the NFC Championship game to open running lanes for Christian McCaffrey, Kittle caught four passes for 81 yards and a touchdown in the Divisional Round against the Packers.
The 30-year-old played in 97 percent of the offensive snaps in each of the two playoff games. He currently carries a questionable tag after sustaining a minor injury against the Lions.

Is George Kittle Injured or Playing in Super Bowl LVIII?
Head coach Kyle Shanahan revealed that Kittle suffered a minor toe injury in the win over the Lions and wouldn't be a full-go at practice right away. In week one of Super Bowl prep, the Iowa alum didn't participate in practice once, but it's more than likely just a precaution with them having an extra week to prepare.
On Wednesday, Kittle was a limited participant in his return to practice, but it's a very good sign to see him return for the first practice of the week of the game. He was limited again on Thursday, and he'll lose any injury designation if he can log full participation in Friday's practice.
It would be very shocking to see Kittle sit out Super Bowl 58, and he's likely to continue in his normal role with no limitations. Looking for his first title and revenge against the Chiefs, there's little chance Kittle misses the game.
George Kittle Fantasy Football Injury Outlook
Kittle finished the fantasy season as TE5 in PPR formats, averaging 12.7 points per game. He's had his fair share of dominant performances in 2023, including three 100-yard games and a game with three touchdowns. In the postseason, Kittle was quiet against the Lions but ended with 18 PPR points against the Packers in the game before.
The Chiefs are one of the league's best pass defenses this year, as they rank fifth in DVOA against the pass and 23rd in points allowed to tight ends. Dalton Kincaid had a solid showing against the Chiefs in the Divisional Round and led the Bills in receiving with 45 yards. The Dolphins and Ravens, however, got little to no production out of the tight end position against Kansas City, but Kittle plays a more involved role than most tight ends.
While Travis Kelce will likely be the tight end with better volume in this game, Kittle will have his chances to contribute by being on the field for almost every snap. San Francisco ideally would like to be able to dominate on the ground and force the Chiefs to stop their rushing attack, which could lead to an unfavorable game script, but it should be a close enough game to keep the Niners in throwing situations. He's a solid flex option for any DFS lineups heading into Super Bowl 58.
