New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson had a ton of hype entering the 2023 fantasy campaign. Part of that was because a second-year breakout was attainable, considering Aaron Rodgers was now his quarterback.
However, Rodgers tore his Achilles just four snaps into the season, and Wilson's fantasy value took a big hit. As a result, the 23-year-old finished as the WR26 in PPR formats.
With Rodgers now fully healthy, though, can Wilson finish as a top-five fantasy wide receiver in 2024? Let's dive in and find out.

Garrett Wilson 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook
Quarterback play surely makes a difference for wideouts, and losing Rodgers to a season-ending injury hurt Wilson in fantasy last year. He averaged just 12.5 PPR fantasy points per game and scored above 20 fantasy points in just one contest in 2023 (20.1 PPR points in Week 14).
After being a consensus round-two pick in fantasy drafts in 2023, Wilson obviously didn't live up to that. He was not startable in most weeks with Zach Wilson, Trevor Siemian, or Tim Boyle as his quarterback. However, things will be different for Wilson in 2024.

Rodgers is back and healthy, which should help the young wideout establish himself as a fantasy WR1. With Mike Williams coming off a torn ACL and a rookie in Malachi Corley likely getting WR3 reps, the Jets should lean on Wilson even more. He should see most of the targets in the passing game, meaning a career year should be in store for him.
Is Garrett Wilson A Top-Five Fantasy Football Wide Receiver In 2024?
If Rodgers stays healthy, there's no reason why Wilson can't finish as a top-five fantasy wideout this upcoming season. He is the clear WR1 in New York's offense and has a future Hall of Fame quarterback throwing him passes. The talent is also there for him to do so after he put up back-to-back 1,000-yard campaigns with subpar quarterback play.
So, expect Wilson to put up career numbers with Rodgers as his quarterback in 2024. Despite going as the WR8 currently in drafts and behind wideouts like Puka Nacua and A.J. Brown, there is a path for the 23-year-old to finish higher than both of those playmakers in 2024.

That's because he doesn't face much competition for targets and finally has an elite quarterback in the passing game. Wilson will enter the fantasy season with not only a high ceiling but a high floor in what should be a top-10 Jets offense. He is a great pick late in the first round.
