Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram has played well in his first year with the team.
The former first-round pick is the TE13 for the year, averaging 6.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game this season.
While he is the TE13 for the year, Engram’s target share has been inconsistent. Some weeks the veteran will see six or more targets, while he failed to see four targets in other games.

Is Evan Engram Healthy Or Injured?
More importantly, the former first-round pick popped up on the injury report on Wednesday with a back injury.
Despite dealing with the injury, Engram partook in practice on Wednesday and Thursday. Friday’s injury report will provide more information. However, the veteran tight end should be able to play Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Should I Pickup Dan Arnold?
However, if Engram misses this week’s game, fantasy players should avoid Arnold. The veteran tight end played well last season after the Jaguars acquired him in a mid-season trade from the Carolina Panthers. Unfortunately, Arnold has made no fantasy impact this season, averaging only 1.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.
Instead of starting Arnold, fantasy players should add Greg Dulcich, Cade Otton, or Foster Moreau off the waiver wire. All three are available in at least 55% of ESPN leagues.
Of the trio, my favorite target is Dulcich. I would rather play the rookie tight end over Engram this week. After missing the first five games this year because of a hamstring injury, the former UCLA star has stepped into a consistent role for the Denver Broncos.
The third-round pick has a 77% or higher route participation rate and an 11% or higher target share in all three games this season.
Dulcich has averaged 10.1 half-point PPR fantasy points per game this year, scoring at least 8.1 fantasy points in every contest. Furthermore, he has 14 targets over Denver’s past two games, the second-most on the team.
More importantly, he has an excellent matchup against the Tennessee Titans. They have surrendered 11.9 half-point PPR fantasy points per game this season, the sixth-most in the NFL.
Dulcich is an excellent streaming option this week and a solid low-end TE1 for the rest of the season.
