Cleveland Browns wide receiver Elijah Moore was the 34th overall pick by the New York Jets in the 2021 NFL Draft. Moore had an outstanding college career, totaling 189 receptions for 2,441 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns in three years at Ole Miss. Furthermore, his 1,193 receiving yards in 2020 were the second-most in college football, only behind DeVonta Smith.
More importantly, Moore had a solid rookie season. He totaled 43 receptions on 77 targets for 538 receiving yards and five touchdowns that year. Furthermore, the former Ole Miss star led the team in receiving yards and touchdowns despite missing five games. The rookie also had five rushing attempts for 54 yards and a touchdown.
Many had high expectations for Moore last season. Unfortunately, he struggled and was a massive fantasy bust. The former Ole Miss star had 37 receptions on 65 targets for 446 receiving yards and one touchdown in 16 games. After having his trade request rejected by the Jets during the regular season, the team dealt Moore to the Browns during the offseason.

Is Elijah Moore Injured Or Healthy?
The former Ole Miss star played in Cleveland’s Week 1 preseason matchup against the Washington Commanders. He caught his only target in the game for six receiving yards. Moore also had a rushing attempt for 18 yards in the contest.
Unfortunately, he suffered a rib injury against Washington. Thankfully the x-rays were negative, and head coach Kevin Stefanski says the wide receiver is considered day-to-day with the injury.
Should I Draft Elijah Moore?
Moore is a popular third-year breakout candidate this season. The former Ole Miss star has had an outstanding offseason, building a strong connection with Deshaun Watson. Furthermore, the Browns plan to use the young receiver in multiple ways, including out of the backfield as a runner.
While the former Ole Miss star struggled last season, Moore was unbelievable to end his rookie year. He was the WR2, averaging 17.3 half-point PPR fantasy points per game over his final five games as a rookie, only getting outscored by only Cooper Kupp during those five weeks.
More importantly, fantasy players can get Moore at a discount. The former Ole Miss star has a ninth-round pick in 12-team leagues, according to the RotoBaller ADP. Fantasy players should feel confident drafting the third-year receiver at that price.
