The New England Patriots used the third overall pick to draft quarterback Drake Maye from North Carolina, signaling that they hope he will be the future of the franchise. However, through five weeks, QB Jacoby Brissett has been the starter. The results have been about what you'd expect.
Brissett has been terrible, and the Patriots have won just one game thanks to great defensive play. The offense has been completely ineffective, scoring an atrocious 12.4 points per game, second-to-last in the league only to the Miami Dolphins, who are missing their top two quarterbacks.
With Brissett playing horribly, the only hope for the Patriots may be to give the lead QB job to Maye. So will Drake Maye start at quarterback for the Patriots in Week 6?

Is Drake Maye Starting In Week 6?
UPDATE: Maye will make his first career start against the Houston Texans in Week 6.
New England head coach Jerod Mayo didn't commit to a starting quarterback for the Week 6 matchup with the Houston Texans, but there's a big chance the rookie will take the starting job soon. It's a good plan. New England shouldn't continue putting out an unwatchable product for its fans, and the locker room needs to be motivated to play.

He immediately brings an explosive and creative element to the offense, whereas Brissett brings backup-level play (or worse). There is no reason to continue riding with the current starter unless the Patriots want to tank and protect Maye from the poor offensive line play (though many of the sacks are Brissett's fault).
Fantasy managers should expect an official decision soon, though. Mayo's latest comments suggest a change could be on the horizon.
Jerod Mayo called the manner in which the Patriots won their only game this season "unsustainable." So how do the Patriots change into a team who can put up 21+ points?
