Is Drake London Playing in Week 10?

Last week, a groin injury sidelined Drake London against the Vikings. That game was the first for Taylor Heinicke at quarterback for the Falcons, who replaced second-year passer Desmond Ridder as the team's starter.

In the previous game against Tennessee, London was targeted seven times, catching five passes for 55 yards. Just two of those targets came after Heinicke replaced Ridder in the second half, with London hauling one of those in for a 21-yard catch.

London is in line to return to the field in Week 10 after he returned to practice during the week. Can fantasy managers trust London this week?

Drake London Fantasy Football Injury Outlook

After a disappointing Week 1 in which he was held without a reception, Drake London has averaged eight targets, 5.3 recepti0ns, and 62.6 receiving yards per game over the past seven contests that he has played.

In theory, the move to Heinicke is good news for London, as he provides more consistent passing production for the Falcons. On the other hand, London had started to develop a good rapport with Ridder and now has to figure out where he fits in the pecking order with Heinicke under center.

On the latter point, the lack of strong receiving options outside of London and the team's tight end duo of Kyle Pitts and Jonnu Smith should allow London to instantly make an impact upon his return. The only receiver with more than three targets last week was KhaDarel Hodge, for example. Consider London a low-end WR2 play.
