Dorian Thompson-Robinson Injury Update For Fantasy Football
Unfortunately, Watson will miss the rest of the year with a shoulder injury. That means Thompson-Robinson is the new starter. He started the past two games but has struggled. More importantly, the rookie suffered a concussion Sunday against the Denver Broncos. P.J. Walker finished the game at quarterback for Cleveland.
Dorian Thompson-Robinson Fantasy Football Outlook
Hopefully, Thompson-Robinson can clear the concussion protocol and play Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams. However, fantasy players shouldn’t expect Walker to get the start if the rookie can’t play.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter said on the Pat McAfee show that he believes there is a real possibility that the Browns could start Joe Flacco on Sunday if Thompson-Robinson doesn’t clear the concussion protocol.
While the former UCLA star hasn’t been perfect, he did have a solid performance on Sunday before leaving the game with a concussion. The rookie had 134 passing yards, one touchdown, 21 rushing yards, and 11.5 fantasy points.
Meanwhile, the Rams have surrendered 17.2 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season, slightly above the league average. They have given up 22 or more fantasy points to quarterbacks in over a third of the games this year, including two of the past four matchups.
Yet, fantasy players shouldn’t consider Thompson-Robinson or Flacco anything more than a low-end QB2 in Week 13.
