Chicago Bears running back D'Onta Foreman was the 89th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Foreman had a solid college career, totaling 431 rushing attempts for 2,774 yards and 20 touchdowns in three years at Texas. He also had 13 receptions for 1436 receiving yards in college.
After struggling with injuries earlier in his career, the former Longhorn had an impressive 2022 season with the Carolina Panthers. He had 203 rushing attempts for 914 yards and nine touchdowns, averaging a career-high 4.5 yards per rushing attempt. The veteran signed a one-year deal with the Bears in the offseason.
Foreman has had an up-and-down year with Chicago. After playing in Week 1, the veteran was a healthy scratch for the next several games. However, he has been productive since getting back in the lineup. Since Week 6, Foreman is the RB10, averaging 12.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game, scoring 16 or more twice.

Is D'Onta Foreman Injured Or Playing In Week 12?
The veteran is dealing with ankle and shin injuries. Despite leaving the Week 11 matchup against the Detroit Lions early with an injury, Foreman had a rushing touchdown and led the Chicago backfield in fantasy points. Unfortunately, the former Longhorn won’t play tonight against the Minnesota Vikings.
Should I Start Roschon Johnson?
Khalil Herbert and Johnson will lead the backfield with Foreman out of the lineup. Herbert is the RB52 for the year, averaging 8.6 fantasy points per game. Meanwhile, Johnson is the RB56, averaging 4.9 fantasy points per game.
The third-year running back is likely on someone’s bench in your league. Yet, the rookie is available in over 75% of ESPN leagues. With Foreman out for tonight’s game, Johnson should take over on third down and short-yardage situations. He is a physical runner and can make plays after initial contact.
Foreman was reportedly unlikely to play since Saturday. Therefore, fantasy players hopefully planned for this situation. However, Johnson is a solid last-minute replacement option for the veteran running back.
Minnesota has held running back to only 15.6 fantasy points per game, the eighth-fewest in the NFL. They’ve surrendered fewer than 50 rushing yards to running backs in four of their past five games.
However, the Vikings struggle against pass-catching running backs. Last week, the Denver Broncos backfield scored 16 fantasy points in the passing game, making Johnson an appealing last-minute option tonight.
