DK Metcalf Injury Update for Fantasy Football
D.K. Metcalf suffered a hip injury and left the game in the third quarter of the Week 6 game against the Bengals. This was a confounding sight at first for all his fans and the fantasy managers who had him on their roster.
Fortunately, he later returned to the game and looked healthy. Metcalf avoided an injury scare and finished the game with four receptions for 69 yards on 10 targets. He recorded 6.9 points in full PPR scoring leagues in Week 6. It seems like he will be ready to play in Week 7 against the Cardinals and help his team return to winning ways.
DK Metcalf Fantasy Football Outlook
So far this season, in five games, Metcalf has recorded 22 receptions for 337 yards and has scored two touchdowns on 33 targets. He is averaging 67.4 yards per game and 15.3 yards per reception. He is currently ranked #14 among WRs by the RotoBaller staff.
Given that he was able to return to the game against the Bengals, the 25-year-old receiver will look to bounce back next week. However, fantasy football managers may be very worried about Metcalf next week because he has never done well against the Cardinals in his career.
In the eight games that he has played against the Cardinals so far in his career, Metcalf has recorded 22 receptions for 235 yards while scoring two touchdowns and averaging just 29.4 yards per game. It will be interesting to see how he fares this time around.
