Not unsurprisingly, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf (knee) is one of the top players at his position in fantasy football. He's currently the WR11 in full-PPR scoring, and has played like the big-play machine he's known to be. He has three games of 19+ PPR fantasy points so far.
He's racked up 35 catches on 61 targets for 568 yards and three touchdowns this season, just edging out fellow WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba in targets and crushing him in efficiency. He's the clear alpha pass-catcher of his offense, and that role probably won't change any time soon.
Unfortunately, he was added to the injury report after his Week 7 game. So is DK Metcalf hurt or healthy, and will he play in week 8?

DK Metcalf Injury Update for Fantasy Football
The Seahawks star is suffering from a Grade 1 MCL sprain. Grade 1 is the mildest form of the sprain, so he's lucky to have escaped a more serious injury, but that doesn't mean he's out of the woods yet. MCL sprains usually do lead to at least some missed time. It's possible he could play through the injury, of course.

If he does, though, don't expect him to be 100%. This isn't an injury you can just ignore (unless it's extremely minor). It's possible fantasy managers could have a better pivot considering the dip in production in receivers' first game back from this injury is significant.
Mike Macdonald on DK Metcalf's injury:
"Doesn't look like it's a longtime injury. You guys know DK, we know DK. He's gonna do anything humanly possible to try and be able to play in this game I would imagine. So we'll assess it as the week goes on here"
Confirms it's a Grade 1…

The NFL is notorious for having players that play through injuries whenever they can. Managers should be prepared for at least a one-week absence and aware that it could be longer.
DK Metcalf Fantasy Football Outlook for Week 8
Given the dip in production that's typical with this injury, his Week 8 outlook isn't great. He would be hard-pressed to have another monster game. If he does play, the threat of big plays and touchdowns he poses makes him a worthy WR3/FLEX with upside for more if the injury isn't very severe.
JSN acknowledged that he threw into double coverage here but says he has faith in DK Metcalf in those situations to go up and get it.
Geno Smith said it was “awesome” and joked, “Usually when I throw it up in double coverage, it doesn't end up like that.” pic.twitter.com/zwum3ENHi2

He's the most ridiculous athlete at his position in the NFL. It doesn't make much sense to sit him if he plays, but temper your expectations.
