After a solid rookie year, the former Maryland star became one of the more underrated wide receivers in the NFL. Moore had at least 1,150 receiving yards and four touchdowns in three consecutive seasons.

What Did DJ Moore Accomplish In 2022?
Last year the veteran wide receiver saw his three-year 1,150-plus receiving yards streak snapped. Moore had only 888 receiving yards in 2022. Unfortunately, the star receiver saw his target share take a significant hit. After totaling a career-high 163 targets in 2021, Moore had only 118 last season.
However, the former Maryland star did have seven receiving touchdowns, setting a career-high. Furthermore, his seven receiving touchdowns last year account for a third of his career total. Arguably the most important one came in the Week 8 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.
More importantly, Moore got traded to the Bears this offseason. The veteran wide receiver was part of the deal for the Panthers to acquire the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Is DJ Moore Worth Drafting As Your WR2?
Fantasy players are excited about the star wide receiver’s potential in Chicago. Justin Fields and Moore have already built a connection this offseason.
The veteran has been a consistent WR2 for fantasy players despite playing with multiple sub-par quarterbacks. Last year Moore was the WR22, averaging 9.9 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. Furthermore, he has never finished lower than the WR22 in any year of his career since his rookie season.
Meanwhile, Fields had a top-six finish last year. He averaged 19.7 fantasy points per game despite having only 17 passing touchdowns. More importantly, the Bears didn’t have a wide receiver with over 500 receiving yards in 2022. That won’t be the case this year with Moore on the team.
