New England Patriots wide receiver DeVante Parker has had a quiet first year with the team. The veteran is the WR80 for the year, averaging only 5.4 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.
Parker spent the first seven years of his career with the Miami Dolphins, averaging 8.4 fantasy points per game in 94 contests. After the team acquired Tyreek Hill, Miami traded the veteran receiver to the Patriots.
Unfortunately, his career has been full of injuries.

Is DeVante Parker Playing In Week 16?
Two weeks ago, Parker suffered a concussion against the Arizona Cardinals on Monday night. The veteran receiver hit his head as he was getting tackled. Nelson Agholor noticed Parker was showing concussion-like symptoms and made sure the officials stopped the game.
While there is no official written rule that players who suffer a concussion must miss one game, it has become the trend in the NFL. Therefore, fantasy players shouldn’t have been surprised that Parker didn’t play against the Las Vegas Raiders last week.
Unfortunately, the veteran receiver will miss his second straight game because of the concussion.
With Parker out again this week, should fantasy players add Agholor off the waiver wire and start him against the Cincinnati Bengals tomorrow?
Should I Pickup And Start Nelson Agholor?
The answer to this question is no. Agholor has averaged only 4.6 fantasy points per game this season, scoring fewer than six points in all but two contests. Last week, the veteran caught only one of six targets for three yards, scoring 0.8 fantasy points against the Raiders.
Instead, fantasy players should add DJ Chark off the waiver wire. The former LSU star is rostered in only 30.1% of ESPN leagues.
Last week the Detroit Lions receiver scored only 2.3 fantasy points. However, fantasy players should have sat the receiver, given his matchup against the New York Jets and their elite secondary.
Over the previous two weeks, Chark totaled 11 receptions on 13 targets for 192 receiving yards and a touchdown. He was the WR13 during that span, averaging 15.4 fantasy points per game.
This week he takes on the Carolina Panthers. They have surrendered 28.9 fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season, the 11th-most in the NFL. Over their past two weeks, Carolina has given up 390 receiving yards, three touchdowns, and 73.9 fantasy points to wide receivers.
