Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry is a perennial first-round pick in fantasy football drafts, leading many managers to titles in previous years.
This year felt a little bit different because he had finally suffered a major injury last season, sidelining him for the second half of 2021. Despite the injury, he entered the year healthy and has been on an absolute tear over the past four weeks.
Unfortunately, he popped up on the injury report this week for the first time in 2022. It leaves fantasy managers wondering about their superstar back. Is Henry injured? Will he play in Week 9? Let's dive in.

Derrick Henry Injury Updates for Fantasy Football
Henry is coming off his sixth career 200-plus yard-game against Houston, capping off a run of four consecutive weeks with 100 or more yards. He also has nine rushing touchdowns on the year, trailing only Nick Chubb. Naturally, any injury concerns will spark a reaction from the fantasy community.
Henry showed up on Wednesday with a limited tag due to a foot injury, which raised a lot of eyebrows for fantasy managers, particularly because it was a Jones fracture that kept him out last season.
For a veteran of Henry's caliber, being listed as limited on a Wednesday is usually just an indication of rest, especially considering the workload he handled against the Texans.
Derrick Henry Injury News
Then on Thursday, things took a turn for the worse when the injury report listed him as absent from practice. It's generally not a good sign when a player goes from being a limited participant to a non-participant.
Thankfully, it turned out that Thursday was a rest for Henry, which makes sense given that he had 32 carries in their 17-10 victory.
Furthermore, when the Friday practice report was released, he was listed as a full participant, confirming he'll suit up and be available to help your squad.
Is Derrick Henry Playing in Week 9?
Fantasy managers need not worry because they'll have "king" Henry at their disposal this week against the Chiefs. Henry is a top-five back with No. 1 overall potential each and every week, so he's a must-start.
