Pop-pop, it's show time.
It is, in fact, show time for Demario "Pop" Douglas. The Patriots' sixth-round rookie played his career-high in snaps (37) in Week 7 and followed it up with another best mark (41) in Week 8. He may just be scratching the surface due to injuries to New England's starting wide receivers.
How will DeVante Parker's injury impact the fantasy football outlook for Douglas? Let's dive in.

Is DeVante Parker Injured or Playing In Week 9?
Following a fine-worthy, helmet-to-helmet hit from Miami defensive back DeShon Elliott, Parker entered the NFL’s concussion protocol. He has since been ruled out for Week 9.
Parker's absence shouldn't impact the outlook for Douglas much. The two receivers play different roles in the New England passing game. The loss of Kendrick Bourne to a torn ACL, rather, will increase Douglas' playing time and involvement in the offense.
Is Demario Douglas Starting & Playing In Week 9?
Douglas will surely pick up this third straight start against Washington. The rest of the wide receiver room lacks household names. Douglas will join JuJu Smith-Schuster (who has been out of the rotation) and rarely-used Tyquan Thornton and Jalen Reagor.
Douglas and the rest of the wideouts draw the Commanders in Week 9. Washington's secondary is one of the two worst defenses against opposing fantasy football wide receivers. With six and seven targets drawn over the last two games, Douglas will again have several opportunities to make plays. The rookie is in the WR4 range this week.
