New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Demario Douglas has really started to blossom in the second half of his season.
The wide-out from Liberty started the season off at a slower pace but has quickly become the Patriots' number-one receiving option for coach Bill Belichick.
But will Douglas be available in the Patriots' Week 13 matchup against the Las Angeles Chargers after entering the concussion protocol in Week 12? What is the latest Demario Douglas injury news?

Demario Douglas Injury Update for Fantasy Football
The 22-year-old led the Patriots in receiving in Week 12, but unfortunately did exit the game with a head injury and will likely enter the NFL's concussion protocol. Douglas will have to go through the necessary precautions but of course, will look to gain clearance prior to a Week 13 matchup with the Chargers.
Up until Douglas had to leave Week 12 with a concussion, he caught 6-of-9 targets for 49 yards in the 10-7 loss to the Giants. This marked a fourth straight game where Douglas saw at least seven targets.
If Douglas is unavailable, expect the Patriots to lean even more heavily on the running game with Rhamondre Stevenson and Ezekiel Elliot.
Demario Douglas Fantasy Football Outlook
Despite the solid production from Douglas, the Patriots still rank 24th in the NFL in offense yards per game and have struggled to find a consistent quarterback who is willing to air the ball out to their wideouts.
Belichick and the Patriots have leaned on the young wideout to produce despite being a rookie, as he has caught 26 of his 38 targets through his last five games played. Douglas has seemingly been the number-one receiving option as he continues to lead the team in targets and receiving yards throughout the last few weeks.
This week, Douglas has a favorable matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers are allowing the second-most yards given up per game to opposing offenses in the NFL. Douglas is a risky start because of the offense he plays for but still has shown enough consistency to use as a fill-in player if needed. If he plays, you can view him as a flex option.
