San Francisc0 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel suffered a rib injury during Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys. He had four catches for 71 yards at the time he exited.
It was a nice bounce-back after he was held without a catch against the Chiefs, playing just four snaps before exiting due to illness and not returning.
But will Deebo Samuel be available for the 49ers' next game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers? Is Deebo Samuel injured? What is the latest Deebo Samuel injury news?
It's been a tough couple of weeks for Deebo Samuel. After leaving the Chiefs game with an illness, Samuel ended up hospitalized with pneumonia. He was able to recover in time to play Sunday night against the Cowboys.
But after a strong game, Samuel left in the fourth quarter with a rib injury. He finished the game with 71 receiving yards and 15 rushing, plus had a long touchdown called back by injury.
We want to wait and see what's up with Samuel, but with a bye up next week, fantasy managers stand a good shot of having him in the lineup the next time the 49ers play a football game.
Deebo Samuel Fantasy Football Outlook
The 49ers have a bye in Week 9, so that gives Deebo Samuel plenty of time to heal up before facing the Buccaneers in Week 10.
If he's active for that game, Samuel is a top fantasy play. With Brandon Aiyuk injured, Samuel is the clear No. 1 receiver in San Fran and while tight end George Kittle will cut into his usage some, Samuel's versatility gives him WR1 upside when he gets a full workload.
Deebo Samuel left Week 8 with a rib injury.
There's a chance Pearsall is leaned on even more moving forward.
If he were to miss the game against Tampa, Ricky Pearsall would likely see an increased workload as the team's No. 1 receiver. He was targeted four times in Week 8.
