Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins has played well this season. The star receiver missed the first six games this year because of a suspension.
In his first game back, the former Clemson star had 10 receptions on 14 targets for 103 receiving yards and 15.3 half-point PPR fantasy points against the New Orleans Saints.
Over the next six weeks, Hopkins was the WR2, averaging 16.7 fantasy points per game. Unfortunately, his production slipped after Kyler Murray suffered a season-ending torn ACL in Week 14.

Is DeAndre Hopkins Playing In Week 17?
Over the past three games, Hopkins has averaged only 6.6 fantasy points per game despite having double-digit targets in every contest. Last week the star receiver caught only one of 10 targets against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Unfortunately, he left Friday’s practice early with a knee injury. His status for Sunday’s matchup against the Atlanta Falcons is up in the air.
Given Arizona’s 4-11 record, the team has no reason to put Hopkins on the field this week. Fantasy players shouldn’t expect the star receiver to play on Sunday.
Marquise Brown, Greg Dortch, and A.J. Green will see an uptick in snaps and targets if Hopkins can’t play.
Should I Pickup And Start Greg Dortch For Fantasy Football?
While Dortch had 11 targets and 17.3 fantasy points last week, fantasy players shouldn’t consider him a lock to have a repeat performance if Hopkins is out. David Blough will make his first start of the season this week. Fantasy players shouldn’t start Dortch in the championship game when he is playing with a quarterback who hasn’t seen the field since Week 16 of the 2020 season.
Instead, fantasy players should add and start Isaiah Hodgins this week. The former Oregon State receiver is available in over 95% of ESPN leagues.
Over the past four weeks, he has averaged 12.8 fantasy points per game, making him the WR12 during that span. More importantly, he scored 12.9 or more fantasy points three times.
Last week the second-year player had the best performance of his career. Hodgins caught eight of 11 targets for 89 receiving yards and a touchdown against the Minnesota Vikings. He ended Week 16 as the WR7 with 18.9 fantasy points.
Hodgins is an appealing last-minute waiver wire addition if Hopkins doesn’t play this week.
