Is Dawson Knox Playing In Week 18 Against The Patriots?
Buffalo Bills TE Dawson Knox has been a middling tight end for fantasy football this year, ranking as the TE13 in half-PPR with 46 catches for 504 yards and five touchdowns this season.
The 26-year-old enters Week 18 on a hot streak, finishing in the top 10 at the position in each of his last three games after only reaching that mark twice in his 11 previous games. With an average of 6.7 targets, 59 receiving yards, and one TD per game in his last three contests, Knox has been an attractive option in fantasy at an unpredictable position.
Knox was a limited participant in practice Thursday with a hip injury but returned to full participation on Friday, which bodes well for his ability to play on Sunday:
What Is Dawson Knox's Fantasy Outlook? Should I Start Dawson Knox On Saturday?
The Bills welcome the New England Patriots to town on Sunday. The Patriots are the ninth-best matchup for opposing fantasy TEs, giving up an average of 10.2 half-PPR fantasy points per week to the position.
The Patriots come to Buffalo this week with injuries in the secondary after CBs Jalen Mills and Jonathan Jones were listed as questionable on Friday. In a win-and-you’re-in game for New England, expect head coach Bill Belichick to key in on containing QB Josh Allen’s connection with star WR Stefon Diggs, leaving a potential opportunity for Knox to continue his impressive play over the middle of the field in Week 18.
You can do worse than Knox against New England in fantasy and DFS, who should play a full complement of snaps and be treated as a low-end TE1 on Sunday.
