dawson knox fantasy football rankings NFL DFS lineup picks

Is Dawson Knox injured or healthy? Is Dawson Knox going to play in Week 8? Should I Start Dalton Kincaid for fantasy football? Read the latest fantasy news.

Buffalo Bills tight end Dawson Knox suffered a wrist injury back in Week 5 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but toughed it out the past two weeks, playing in both Week 6 and Week 7.

But heading into Week 8, it appears that Knox will no longer be playing through the wrist injury, as he's reportedly having surgery.

Is Dawson Knox going to play in Week 8? How long will be he out? Should fantasy managers grab tight end Dalton Kincaid off the waiver wire? Read on for the latest injury update on Knox.

Is Dawson Knox Playing In Week 8?

Buffalo Bills tight end Dawson Knox will not suit up on Thursday night when the Bills host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In fact, he could end up missing a good bit of time.

Knox, who is missing Thursday's game with the wrist injury that he played through the last two weeks, is expected to be placed on Injured Reserve, which would keep him out for at least four games.

Through seven games, Dawson Knox has caught 15 of his 28 targets for 102 yards and a touchdown. He is averaging a career-low in receiving yards per game as well as catch rate.

Should I Start Dalton Kincaid

With Dawson Knox out, rookie tight end Dalton Kincaid will play a larger role on Thursday night against the Buccaneers.

Kincaid is coming off a strong game last week against the Patriots. With Knox limited by the wrist injury, Kincaid served as the top receiving tight end. He was targeted eight times, catching all eight for 75 yards.

With Knox out this week, Kincaid can be considered a low-end fantasy TE1. Managers who need a boost at the tight end position should consider starting Kincaid against the Buccaneers. While there's no guarantee that Kincaid will continue to produce like he did in last week's loss, he has significant upside. With Knox expected to miss at least four games, Kincaid should be added in most leagues.
