Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku is having a career year in his seventh NFL season. Njoku has currently totaled career-highs in receptions (81), receiving yards (882), and touchdowns (6) through 17 weeks. He also ranks as the TE6 in PPR formats in fantasy this season.
It's been a fantastic year for Njoku, who was selected to his first Pro Bowl in 2023. The 27-year-old has a chance to continue his career year in Week 18 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
But, with the Browns already locking up the fifth seed in the postseason, could Njoku sit out a meaningless Week 18 game against the Cincinnati Bengals? Let's dive in and find out.

David Njoku Fantasy Football Update
UPDATE: David Njoku is officially active in Week 18. However, he could play limited snaps, making him a risky fantasy option.
With the Browns beating the New York Jets and the Baltimore Ravens beating the Miami Dolphins last week, Cleveland secured the fifth seed in the AFC postseason. Even with a loss in Week 18, they already locked up the top wild-card spot in the first round of the playoffs.
So, the Browns could decide to rest star players this weekend. Head coach Kevin Stefanski has already come out and said that starters will be rested in the final week, including Joe Flacco, who has been ruled out for Week 18.
Despite Njoku entering Sunday with no injury designation, he will likely only see limited snaps against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Browns' tight end was on the injury report with a knee issue this week, so Cleveland will probably be extra cautious with him in Week 18.
Should I Start David Njoku in Week 18?
There have been no official reports of the Browns' plan for Njoku this weekend. But the expectation is that the team will choose to rest him and other starters for most of the game. The tight end will probably start the game and then only play a drive or two before sitting out the rest of the contest.
That makes Njoku extremely hard to trust against the Bengals in both Week 18 championships and daily fantasy sports (DFS) contests. He should likely be avoided in both types of leagues with a limited snap count on the horizon on Sunday.
