Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku has started slow this season, catching just 16 passes for 138 yards and no touchdowns through four weeks. That said, he's a super athletic tight end with a high ceiling, so he remains on the fantasy radar.
However, the 27-year-old is in the injury headlines heading into Week 6, and we have his latest update.
Is Njoku injured or healthy? Will he play in Week 6? Let's dive in.

David Njoku Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku (arm, face) is not at practice on Monday. The Browns are coming off their bye week and are giving Njoku some extra rest after he suffered serious burns on his arm and face during an accident at home last weekend before the team's Week 4 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
The former Miami Hurricane was active for that game and caught six of his seven targets for 46 yards, so he should be just fine to play in Week 6 against the San Francisco 49ers. Njoku hasn't really stood out in four games for Cleveland this year, but the good news is he should be getting quarterback Deshaun Watson (shoulder) back this week after the team's bye. Njoku is still looking to get into the end zone for the first time in 2023.
David Njoku Fantasy Football Outlook
Although Njoku is likely to play in Week 6, he's not a strong fantasy option. The 49ers continue to have a suffocating defense and have allowed the seventh-fewest fantasy points to tight ends through five weeks.
The Browns' passing game showed promise in Week 3 against the Tennessee Titans but have otherwise been unimpressive. Njoku is looking more like a drop candidate than a starter at this point in the 2023 campaign.
However, the tight end position is scarce, so he could be worth holding onto in deeper formats.
