Is Davante Adams Hurt Or Healthy?
The Raiders' superstar receiver was limited in practice due to illness on multiple occasions prior to a Week 8 matchup with the New Orleans Saints. Adams did play through the illness against the Saints, but turned in his worst performance of the year, catching just one pass for three yards.
After that forgettable outing, Adams was again limited at Wednesday's Raiders practice this week.
Fortunately, the 29-year-old was upgraded to a full participant in the Raiders' Thursday practice. This positive development indicates that Adams will be all-systems-go for Las Vegas' upcoming Week 9 tilt against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Davante Adams Fantasy Football Outlook
While Adams broke the hearts of his fantasy managers with an ugly 1/3/0 line against New Orleans in Week 8, his status as a full participant in Thursday's practice bodes well for his prospects against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 9.
The former Green Bay star's numbers have dipped since joining the Raiders, but Adams has produced 512 yards and five TDs on 38 catches to this point, which is enough to currently stand as the overall WR9 in Full PPR leagues.
Fantasy GMs can confidently fire up Adams as a WR1 against the lowly Jaguars in Week 9 and should have faith that he'll continue to produce at a high level for the remainder of the season thanks to his elite talent and usage.
