Darren Waller was traded to the New York Giants in exchange for a third-round pick this past offseason. He was brought in to help Daniel Jones, as the Giants don't have many big contributors on offense who can help in the passing game.
The Giants open their season against the Dallas Cowboys, and prior to that, a big concern was floated about their star tight end. It was revealed that Waller is questionable for the game against the Cowboys due to a hamstring issue.
In this article, we will discuss whether the 30-year-old tight end will start in Week 1, and if he does, is he worth putting in your fantasy football team's starting lineup?

Will Darren Waller Play In Week 1?
Although Waller is currently questionable to play in Week 1, many reports indicate that the hamstring issue is not serious. As a result, he will be cleared to play and will make his Giants debut on Sunday Night Football.
The Cowboys are favorites heading into the game, but the Giants are more than capable of pulling off an upset. However, for that to be possible, their offense, spearheaded by Daniel Jones, needs to come up big against a great defensive unit of their opponent.
Should You Start Darren Waller?
Since Darren Waller is likely to play in Week 1, it will be sensible to start him on your fantasy football teams. He is projected to have a big role in the Giants offense, and there is a high possibility that he scores a touchdown to start his Giants career on a high note.
While the running game spearheaded by Saquon Barkley will be the key to the Giants' success, Waller will be a heavily relied-on option for Jones, as seen in the preseason. When healthy, the former Raiders tight end is one of the best at his position, and this is a good spot for him to make a valuable contribution.
Last season, he played only nine games due to another hamstring issue. In those nine games, he recorded 28 receptions for 388 yards and scored three touchdowns.
