As we head into Week 10 of the NFL season, it has been a disappointing 2022 campaign for Darren Waller and his fantasy backers to this point. After a star-making 2021 season, Waller has been plagued by injuries this year and has failed to live up to preseason expectations.
Waller last suited up in Week 5 and has now missed three games this season for the Las Vegas Raiders.

Is Darren Waller Hurt Or Healthy?
Darren Waller has struggled to stay on the field for the Las Vegas Raiders this year. Waller has already missed three games this season with a lingering hamstring injury and last suited up in Week 5.
While his fantasy managers were hoping for progress ahead of Week 10's matchup with the Indianapolis Colts, it appears that the star tight end has suffered a major setback, as ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Raiders will now place Waller on IR.
Darren Waller Fantasy Football Outlook for Week 10
The news out of Las Vegas is devastating for Waller's fantasy managers. While many hoped that the stud TE was nearing a return to action, this week's developments mean quite the opposite.
By being placed on IR, Waller will be forced to miss a minimum of four games due to his hamstring injury and is not eligible to return to action until December 8th.
As we've reached the halfway point of the NFL season, it's starting to feel like a lost year for Waller and his fantasy managers. He won't be eligible to return until Week 14 at the earliest, and with the Raiders currently floundering with a 2-6 record, there's a very real possibility that they could decide to shut Waller down for the year.
Fantasy GMs in leagues with an IR spot can utilize that feature during Waller's injury stint. Las Vegas' Foster Moreau will continue to hold the fort down at TE in Waller's absence, though his fantasy impact has been minimal to this point.
