The Atlanta Falcons offense got significantly better this offseason, especially with the addition of Kirk Cousins. Cousins signed a four-year, $180 million deal with the Falcons in free agency after spending the past six seasons with the Minnesota Vikings.
Cousins now joins a Falcons offense that has plenty of great weapons. Drake London should serve as the team's WR1, while tight end Kyle Pitts should see more opportunities in the passing game. Atlanta also added more pieces around the veteran quarterback by signing Darnell Mooney and trading for Rondale Moore.
So, is Mooney or Moore the WR2 for the Falcons? Who has the better fantasy value in 2024? Let's dive in and find out.

Who is the Atlanta Falcons' WR2?
There shouldn't really be a battle for the WR2 spot in Atlanta's offense this upcoming season. Mooney is likely the favorite to earn that title following his three-year, $39 million contract in the offseason.
Mooney also has the talent to be a reliable weapon for Cousins in the passing game. While he hasn't had great stats over the last two seasons, the former Bears wideout does have a 1,000-yard season under his belt. Back in 2021, the 26-year-old totaled 81 catches for 1,055 yards and four touchdowns in a career year.

Now, he should serve as the WR2 on a better offense with an accurate passer in 2024. Moore, though, should also see his fair share of chances in the slot for the Falcons. However, Mooney should operate this upcoming season as the team's WR2 opposite of London on the outside.
Who Should I Draft in Fantasy Football?
Both Mooney and Moore have potential flex play value in fantasy this year, especially with Cousins as their quarterback. However, with the former being the Falcons' WR2 in 2024, he should be targeted more in drafts. He should operate as the offense's second or third option in the passing game, which could lead to some great fantasy days. Fantasy managers could potentially see an unexpected fantasy year from Mooney in what will likely be a pass-heavy offense.
