Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert (knee) is dealing with a knee injury that's now sidelined him for two games. This is the second injury that's caused him to miss significant time this season, as he dealt with a hamstring ailment earlier in the season that caused him to miss three games.
He has effectively missed four, considering that he played just 5% of the team's offensive snaps in Week 6. This makes six games that he didn't produce in at all. Now, he's set to miss more time.
But will Goedert be out for the season? Read more below and what to expect for the fantasy playoffs.

Is Dallas Goedert Out For The Season?
Goedert is not eligible to return from injured reserve until Week 18, and the team has indicated that they don't plan on bringing him back until the playoffs, meaning for fantasy football purposes, his season is effectively over. He was placed on injured reserve ahead of Week 14, so he must miss at least four games.

It makes a lot of sense to hold him out until the playoffs. The Eagles will need all the firepower they can get to compete with teams like the Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, and Green Bay Packers (all powerhouses from the same division, ironically). Technically, he can play in Week 18, but even if he does, it's not a good idea to start him.
It's always risky to start players from teams that have nothing to play for in Week 18. The Eagles could still be competing for the No. 1 seed in the NFC and a first-round bye, sure, but they'll face the injury-destroyed Dallas Cowboys in the last game of the regular season. There's a massive advantage for the Eagles in that matchup.
So going through all the reasonable scenarios, there just isn't one that makes sense and supports a fantasy-relevant day for Goedert in Week 18. He can be safely dropped in all leagues outside of keeper and dynasty formats.
