Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert has never been an elite option for fantasy football players. However, he is a solid starting tight end for the Eagles.
The veteran tight end is the TE27 for the year, averaging 8.3 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. Goedert has scored double-digit fantasy points in only two games this season.
More importantly, he has struggled to stay healthy, missing multiple games this year with numerous injuries. Will Goedert play in Week 18, or is the veteran tight end out for the season?

Is Dallas Goedert Out For The Season?
The veteran tight end missed three games earlier this year with a hamstring injury. Unfortunately, that isn’t the only injury Goedert has suffered this season. He has missed the past four games with a knee injury that placed the veteran on injured reserve.
While Goedert is eligible to come off the injured reserve list in Week 18, Philadelphia has no plans to play him this week against the New York Giants. The Eagles are locked into the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoffs, giving them nothing to play for this week. Will he should return for the playoffs, Goedert’s regular season is over.

Dallas Goedert’s 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook
Therefore, fantasy players should turn their focus to Goedert’s 2025 fantasy football outlook. The veteran tight end has never averaged more than 9.5 fantasy points per game in any season of his career. Furthermore, he has limited touchdown upside, totaling two scores this year. Goedert has had five or fewer receiving touchdowns every season of his seven-year career.

Furthermore, the veteran tight end is the fourth option on the Eagles’ offense behind Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown, and DeVonta Smith. Therefore, Goedert has become a streaming option for fantasy players rather than a low-end TE1 with consistent starting appeal. Fantasy players should only draft him as a high-end TE2 or Week 1 streaming option in 2025.
