Is Dallas Goedert Hurt Or Healthy?
Dallas Goedert entered 2022 as one of the elite tight ends in the NFL. His production this season has been substantial, as he's amassed 544 receiving yards and three TDs. He currently stands as the overall fantasy TE4.
Goedert suffered what appeared to be a shoulder injury during Philly's loss to the Washington Commanders in Week 10. To add insult to injury, the play was a blatant facemask penalty that wasn't flagged at the time.
Dallas Goedert Fantasy Football Outlook for Week 11
Unfortunately, Goedert's shoulder injury appears to be significant. Wednesday afternoon, the Philadelphia Eagles placed him on Injured Reserve.
Goedert's IR designation means he'll at least miss Philly's next four games. His injury is a huge blow for the 8-1 Eagles, as well as his fantasy managers.
He is Philly's second-leading receiver this year and leads all NFL tight ends in yards after catch. Goedert's injury leaves a void at the position that the Eagles are unlikely to fill, as the other tight ends on their roster - Jack Stoll, Grant Calcaterra, & Noah Togiai - have a combined five receptions between them this year. None could be considered fantasy viable at this point.
Goedert and his fantasy managers will circle a matchup with the Chicago Bears on December 18th as his first possible return date.
