Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton has yet to reach his full potential because of poor quarterback play. However, that was supposed to change after the team traded for Russell Wilson in the offseason.
Unfortunately, the veteran quarterback is having the worst year of his career. Sadly, it has severely impacted Sutton’s fantasy production.
The former SMU star is the WR34 for the year, averaging 8.4 half-point PPR fantasy points. He has only one touchdown this season, as the entire offense has struggled.

Is Courtland Sutton Playing In Week 14?
After missing most of the 2020 season with a torn ACL, the veteran receiver has managed to stay healthy since the injury. Sutton played all 17 games last season and hasn’t missed a game this year. Unfortunately, that will change on Sunday.
The former second-round pick has been ruled out for Sunday’s matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs with a hamstring injury. Sutton left last week’s matchup against the Baltimore Ravens early with the injury and didn’t return.
With Sutton out this week, the Broncos will rely on Jerry Jeudy, Kendall Hinton, and Brandon Johnson at wide receiver against the Chiefs. Jeudy is a solid starting option this week with the former SMU star out of the lineup.
However, should fantasy players add Hinton off the waiver wire and start him this week?
Should I Pickup And Start Kendall Hinton For Fantasy Football?
The short answer to this question is no. The slightly longer answer is yes, but only in deeper leagues. The former Wake Forest quarterback turned wide receiver has been solid at times this season.
Hinton averaged four receptions on six targets for 46 receiving yards and 7.3 half-point PPR fantasy points per game in the two games Jeudy missed this year. However, he averaged only three fantasy points per game for the rest of the year.
Instead, fantasy players should check their waiver wire for D.J. Chark. The Detroit Lions receiver is available in over 75% of ESPN leagues.
Last week the veteran receiver caught five of six targets for 98 receiving yards and scored 12.3 fantasy points against his former team. Furthermore, he ran a route on 95% of Jared Goff’s dropbacks and nearly had a 50% air yards share.
More importantly, Chark has an excellent matchup against the Minnesota Vikings last week. The Vikings have given up over 230 receiving yards and 36.5 fantasy points per game to receivers over the past seven matchups.
