Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp was the 69th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Kupp had an excellent college career, totaling 428 receptions for 6,464 yards and 73 touchdowns in four years at Eastern Washington.
More importantly, the former Eastern Washington star had a solid rookie season. He had 62 receptions on 94 targets for 869 receiving yards and five touchdowns. The star receiver suffered a torn ACL the following year but still had 40 receptions on 55 targets for 566 receiving yards and six touchdowns in eight games.
Kupp has turned into one of the top wide receivers in the NFL over the past few years. He had 145 receptions on 191 targets for 1,947 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns in 2021. Unfortunately, he missed eight games the following year because of a high ankle sprain.

Is Cooper Kupp Injured Or Healthy?
Fantasy players had high hopes for the former Eastern Washington star this year. However, Kupp suffered a hamstring injury early in training camp. The veteran was on track to play in Week 1 until he re-aggravated the injury.
Unfortunately, the Rams had to place the superstar wide receiver on injured reserve to start the season, forcing Kupp to miss at least the first four games.
Will Cooper Kupp Return By Week 5?
Thankfully, the veteran could return to the field soon. Head coach Sean McVay said the team plans to designate Kupp to return from injured reserve when he becomes eligible next week. That means the superstar could suit up in Week 5 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
However, Los Angeles has a 21-day window once they designate Kupp to return from injured reserve. During those 21 days, the veteran wide receiver can practice but can’t play. The superstar can play once the team places him on the 53-man roster.
Therefore, fantasy players shouldn’t feel encouraged that Kupp is nearing a return. Anyone who spent a first-round pick on the former Eastern Washington star can’t wait to see him on the field. However, don’t expect him to play in Week 5.
The Rams have no reason to push Kupp back onto the field before he is 100% ready. A more likely season debut for the superstar is in Week 6 against the division-rival Arizona Cardinals. That would give the veteran two weeks to practice before seeing game action.
