Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp was the 69th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Kupp had an outstanding college career at Eastern Washington. More importantly, he has been a superstar during his NFL career.
The former third-round wide receiver started his career as a role player, totaling fewer than 65 receptions, 95 targets, 900 receiving yards, and seven touchdowns in both of his first two years. Yet, he’s been a superstar since his third year in the league.
His best year came in 2021. Kupp had 145 receptions on 191 targets for 1,947 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns, leading the NFL in receptions, yards, and touchdowns. The superstar was on pace to have similar numbers in 2022 before a high ankle sprain ended his season after nine games.

Cooper Kupp Injury Update For Fantasy Football
Unfortunately, Kupp has struggled to stay healthy since the high ankle sprain last year. He missed the first four games with a hamstring injury he suffered and re-aggravated during training camp.
Yesterday, the veteran wide receiver left the game with an ankle injury after getting stepped on. Thankfully, it’s a low ankle sprain. The Rams consider Kupp day-to-day and haven’t ruled him out for the Week 12 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. However, Los Angeles will be cautious with the superstar, given his history with ankle injuries.
Cooper Kupp Fantasy Football Outlook
Hopefully, Kupp doesn’t miss any time and can play Sunday against the NFC West division rivals. However, Puka Nacua would be the biggest benefactor if the superstar missed time.
Last week, the rookie wide receiver had five receptions on seven targets for 70 receiving yards, a touchdown, and 16.2 half-point PPR fantasy points in the win over the Seattle Seahawks. More importantly, Nacua was the WR5 over the first month, averaging a 30.1 target share and 19 fantasy points per game with Kupp on injured reserve.
The good news for the Rams is that Kyren Williams can return from injured reserve this week. Furthermore, Tutu Atwell played well over the first four weeks with the superstar wide receiver sidelined. Atwell averaged 8.8 targets and 11.7 fantasy points per game, scoring 11.7 or more in three of four contests.
