The Arizona Cardinals have turned to quarterbacks Colt McCoy and Trace McSorley after starter Kyler Murray went down with an ACL injury. Now out of playoff contention, the Cardinals hope to finish the 2022 NFL season on a strong note by winning their last two games.
The Cardinals can keep that goal alive by defeating the Atlanta Falcons on the road in Week 17. Before anything else, they must settle their starting quarterback spot.
Will McSorley have his second consecutive start? Or will McCoy take over again?

The Cardinals' Quarterback Carousel in 2022
Murray went down with a non-contact injury in Week 14 against the New England Patriots which eventually turned out to be a torn ACL. McCoy finished that game, but Arizona still lost to New England. Unfortunately, McCoy left their Week 15 game versus the Denver Broncos due to a concussion. With him in concussion protocol, McSorley got the nod to start in Week 16.
Is Colt McCoy Starting in Week 17 Against The Falcons?
The Cardinals originally planned to revert to McCoy at quarterback after he cleared concussion protocol on Wednesday. However, Coach Kliff Kingsbury stated on Friday that McCoy dealt with more concussion symptoms and now in a massive twist, David Blough will get the start in Week 17 at Atlanta. Blough was just signed off the Vikings' practice squad only two weeks ago.
Should I Start David Blough In Week 17 Fantasy Football?
It's now David Blough who will start for the Cardinals in Week 17 and he isn't much of a help for fantasy. He made his last start in 2019, going winless in five games for the Detroit Lions. It's challenging to have him looking like a Pro Bowler for one week and his game won't translate to enough points that can make your team competitive. Therefore, it's best to keep him out of the radar.
There are better options at quarterback in fantasy football, especially if you are among the contenders for the league championship. While the Falcons' defense has allowed 23.3 points and 373 yards per game, Blough hasn't shown any fantasy relevance to be considered a viable option.
