Christian Watson Injury Update for Fantasy Football
When Christian Watson initially left the field, there wasn't a ton of hope for a good outcome. To be evaluated for a concussion while also being looked at for chest and back issues, well...that just sounds ominous.
Surprisingly, the Packers sound optimistic about Watson this week. It turns out he didn't have a concussion and that the team doesn't have long-term concerns about the second-year receiver.
That doesn't necessarily mean that Watson is going to be good to go when the Packers face the Steelers on Sunday, though. Keep an eye on his status during the week to see how Watson progresses.
Christian Watson Fantasy Football Outlook
Christian Watson has struggled over the past three games. He has just seven total receptions over that span and hasn't had more than 37 receiving yards in any of those games. Those 37 yards all came on his one reception in Week 9.
Even if Watson is good to go on Sunday, he's a risky WR4 option right now. The Packers offense just isn't getting things done through the air, which has lowered Watson's upside.
If Watson's held out, there is some fantasy appeal for Romeo Doubs in his place, as Doubs would by-far be the best receiver the team has with Watson sidelined and woul likely see a big increase in usage. If Watson plays, both receivers become very risky Week 10 options.
