Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson became a fantasy superstar and trending player when he scored eight touchdowns in a four-game span, and although he's cooled off as expected, he's still very much on the fantasy radar.
However, he picked up another injury in the Week 16 win over the Miami Dolphins, so his status could be in jeopardy in Week 17 -- the championship round of the fantasy football playoffs.
Will Watson play in Week 17 against the Minnesota Vikings? Let's dive into it.

Christian Watson Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Watson (hip) didn't return to Sunday's win over the Dolphins. The rookie, who finished with six catches for 49 yards in Week 16, has emerged as Aaron Rodgers' favorite target. Naturally, there was some concern after his premature exit, especially from fantasy managers.
However, it appears the 23-year-old avoided a serious injury, reporting after the game he wasn't concerned while adding, "I'll be alright." There's hope he'll play in the Week 17 NFC North showdown against the Minnesota Vikings.
Christian Watson Week 17 Fantasy Outlook
If Watson plays in Week 17, he's close to a must-start wide receiver option in fantasy lineups. The Minnesota Vikings have allowed the single-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season, and since the Vikings' offense is also potent, this game sets up for an all-time NFC North shootout. Minnesota just allowed 258 combined receiving yards to Isaiah Hodgins, Richie James, and Darius Slayton.
The Green Bay offense led by Aaron Rodgers has finally turned the corner, and Watson, Allen Lazard, Romeo Doubs, and Randall Cobb are all making key plays for the future Hall-of-Fame quarterback. Watson and Lazard are usually the top two options for Rodgers, so both are strong options this week if active.
If Watson is forced to miss this game, Doubs and Cobb become legitimate flex considerations, but neither is a must-start. In deep leagues, one of those two wideouts would make a great flex play given the game conditions. The projected point total is set at 47 points for this one, and with Rodgers playing at home, this could be a massive day for multiple Packers' pass-catchers.
